About Elizabeth
Welcome! So glad you are here.
CREATIVE ROOTS
I can remember, aged 11 in Barbados, visiting relatives, my Great Aunt Doll's Sewing Room full of colourful fabrics, trimmings and 1940s vintage fashion magazines. I've always been drawn to mixed media whether in my own or other's work.
I like to keep up with the ever changing world of fashion, and I love wearing bold jewellery, embellishment and observing ever changing fashion silhouettes, textures and trends has led me to designing this creative service.
I started running Crafts Workshops over 10 years ago, and have designed and facilitated jewellery making Workshops for Private Members Clubs Soho Works and The Wing, and for The National Trust. I've also been featured by Vogue Korea, Elle Decoration and World of Interiors online.

FAQ
How do you make brooches, 'Live' at events?
I arrive at the venue at least one hour before your guests and set up my Brooch making table. I can be given a list of people beforehand, or I observe and start
making Brooches using the materials I've bought with me. Once a Brooch is finished, I can tissue wrap and gift box it, and hand it to the person it's based on. I can also use photos to base my Brooches on.
I can also create alarge mixed media Collage based on a scene at an event. The size is 80cm wide by 60cm high and is created onto a stretched canvas. The Collage is then owned by the event organiser, company or Birthday Girl or Boy.
The same materials are used as for the Brooches. During a four hour event, I can create one Collage that can be tissue wrapped, boxed to be taken at the end of the event.
How can we incorporate this into our event(s)?
Any event can be given a creative twist with my Live Brooch or Collage making. I can follow a theme such as 'floral', 'Autumn' or around a well-known person. During a four-hour event, I can make 8 Brooches, or one large Collage.
What size are the Brooches you make?
Each Brooch is approx. 10cm in height.
What are your fees?
My fees start at £750 for a four hour event that includes eight Brooches or one large Collage. My hourly fee for 3D Beading Masterclasses is £65 per person. There is a £50 booking fee that is deducted from your final invoice.
What are the materials you use?
I use a large variety of fabrics including silk, taffeta, velvet, samples of Linton Tweeds, lace, vintage fabrics, tulle, brocade,
denim.
Also diamanté and faux pearls, pre-loved jewellery, leather and hand embroidery. I also laser cut bespoke sequins.
Do you provide any other creative Services?
Yes, I also teach Craft Masterclasses on a one-to-one basis or to small groups. Currently I am teaching 3D Beading Classes and Crochet. Please view my Services page for more details. I also collect vintage Caribbean and African inspired tableware and can decorate a table for an event in this colourful and characterful style.
